Marilyns in Lancashire & Peak District

These are the 16 Marilyns that lie in Lancashire & Peak District — 16 of the 1,550 on the full list. The highest is Kinder Scout at 2,087 feet (636 metres); the lowest is Billinge Hill at 588 feet (179 metres).

The Marilyns are the 1,550 hills in Britain with at least 150 metres of drop on all sides, whatever their height. The list was devised by Alan Dawson in 1992 and named as a play on Munro. Because it is defined by prominence alone, it includes both Ben Nevis and small coastal hills a few hundred feet high.

How many Marilyns are in Lancashire & Peak District?

There are 16, out of 1,550 on the full list.

Do these count towards other lists?
