Munros in Skye
These are the 12 Munros that lie in Skye — 12 of the 282 on the full list. The highest is Sgùrr Alasdair at 3,255 feet (992 metres); the lowest is Sgùrr a' Mhadaidh at 3,012 feet (918 metres).
The Munros are the 282 Scottish mountains over 3,000 feet, first catalogued by Sir Hugh Munro in 1891. The list is maintained by the Scottish Mountaineering Club and has been revised several times as surveys have improved. Climbing all of them is known as Munro bagging, and completing the round is called compleation.
How many Munros are in Skye?
There are 12, out of 282 on the full list.
Do these count towards other lists?
Often, yes. A summit can belong to several lists at once, and marking it in WayMark counts it towards every list it belongs to.
